The General Skyblock Guide

Skyblock has many different things to do, but a lot of those things need money, skill, or prerequisite items. This guide should help you get a starter progression on your profile, giving a good base for other things within the game.

Part 1: Early-Game Grinding

As a new player, unlock the Rogue Sword by talking to Jamie in the Hub, who's next to the water fountain. After that, you'll need to make a skills choice:

Skills Choice (For Profit)

First, you need to get to Skyblock level 5. This is pretty easy to do, as you get Skyblock exp from collecting Fairy Souls, doing collections, leveling up skills, etc. More specific guide on this upcoming. Level 5 should unlock the Garden, a farming-specific private island which is the best place to farm in the game.

The important crops progression in order is:

1. Pumpkin (Garden Level 4)
2. Melon (Garden Level 6)
3. Mushroom (Garden Level 9)

The Pumpkin collection unlocks the Rancher's boots, used in setting specific speeds for efficient farming. Melon collection accesses Melon Armor, the first major armor upgrade for farming. Mushroom is great for Farming Exp, which you'll need a lot of shortly.

The primary farm armor progression is:

1. Farm Suit Armor (Wheat 3)
2. Farm Armor (Wheat 9 & Farming 10)
Interlude: Rancher's boots
3. Melon Armor (Melon 9 & Farming 25)
4. Cropie Armor (Farming 30)
5. Squash Armor (Farming 35)
6. Fermento Armor (Farming 40)

Note: Always use the Rancher's boots in combination with 3/4 of the above, unless your farming design doesn't have an optimal speed.

There are four main pieces of equipment necessary for this skill, as follows:

1. Lotus Necklace
2. Lotus Cloak
3. Lotus Belt
4. Lotus Bracelet

These pieces give bonus health and farming fortune. This set really shines with its upgradeability. It receives extra farming fortune based on how many visitors you have served, with a max bonus of 15 farming fortune per piece at 5000 total accepted visitors.

All pieces should be reforged to rooted, recombobulated, and have green thumb 5 on them (can be upgraded over time).

The best tool to farm wheat on the Garden is Euclid's Wheat Hoe. It has rarities ranging from Common to Mythic. The hoe grants extra Wheat Fortune per digit on the logarithmic counter.

Upgrades:

This hoe should be: Recombobulated, have 10 million counter, have a Farming for Dummies, have perfect gemstones, and be reforged to bountiful. It should have the following maxed enchantments: Cultivating 10, Dedication 4, Delicate 5, Efficiency 10, Harvesting 6, Replenish 1, Silk Touch 1, and Turbo-Wheat 5.

The main tool used in farming pumpkins is the Pumpkin Dicer, which has 3 upgrades:

1. Pumpkin Dicer (Anita)
2. Pumpkin Dicer 2.0 (Upgrade)
3. Pumpkin Dicer 3.0 (Upgrade^2)

This axe grants farming wisdom towards pumpkins, as well as RNG drops while farming. RNG drops get better as the axe is upgraded.

Upgrades:

The axe should be reforged to Blessed, be Recombobulated, be Hot Potatoed, be Fuming Potatoed, have an Art of War, have a Book of Stats, Cultivation 10, Dedication 4, Delicate 5, Harvesting 6, Replenish 1, and have Turbo-Pumpkin 5.

The main tool used in farming melons is the Melon Dicer, which has 3 upgrades:

1. Melon Dicer (Anita)
2. Melon Dicer 2.0 (Upgrade)
3. Melon Dicer 3.0 (Upgrade^2)

This axe grants farming wisdom towards melons, as well as RNG drops while farming. RNG drops get better as the axe is upgraded.

Upgrades:

The axe should be reforged to Blessed, be Recombobulated, be Hot Potatoed, be Fuming Potatoed, have an Art of War, have a Book of Stats,
Cultivation 10, Dedication 4, Delicate 5, Harvesting 6, Replenish 1, and have Turbo-Melon 5.

The primary tool used to farm mushrooms is the Fungi Cutter. It does not have any upgradeable forms. It can switch modes between red and brown mushrooms, granting 30 farming fortune for the specified type.

Upgrades:

This hoe should be Recombobulated, Blessed, Hot Potatoed, Fuming Potatoed, Cultivation 10, Dedication 4, Delicate 5, Harvesting 6, Replenish 1, and have Turbo-Mushroom 5.

The Daedalus Axe is the best tool to farm mushrooms with, as it copies your active pet's stats and gives strength per taming level. However, it is extremely expensive.

Upgrades:

The axe should be Recombobulated, Withered, Chimera 5, Hot Potatoed, Fuming Potatoed, and have perfect gemstones. This should be used with the Mooshroom Pet equipped with a Minos Relic.

There are three main pets used in farming:

1. Rabbit (Mythic) (Best for farming exp)
2. Mooshroom Cow (Legendary) (Best for money)
3. Elephant (Legendary) (Best for collection grinding and farming contests)

You should grind for all three of these pets at maxed level, though use the Rabbit pet till Farming level 50-60 for the faster skill max.

In the end, all pieces should be hypermaxed over time, which means all available upgrades have been applied and maxed out. This should help you get the most efficient time earning money and maxing out the skill. All pets should be max level and max tiered, with the best pet item for their use.

Try to upgrade to max-efficiency infinite farms using YouTube tutorials as fast as feasibly possible, as it will increase your rates by a huge margin.

Although pests and pest farming are technically a part of the above progression, it is significant enough to warrant it's own section, as shown below:

Pests are a type of mob that spawns in the Garden. When present, they lower farming fortune, which can negatively affect farming rates. However, they also drop various useful items, pets, etc. which can be used to make money. Currently, Beetles make the most profit.

Right now, the best armor to farm pests is Biohazard Armor, which should be Recombobulated, Potato Booked, and have Pesterminator 6 at minimum. Anything else for the armor is largely redundant.

There are 2 main pieces of equipment that should be used while pest farming:

1. Pest Vest
2. Pesthunter's Gloves

These increase the bonus pest chance and decrease the spawn cooldown timer. All equipment pieces should be reforged to Squeaky for the bonus pest chance, as well as Recombobulated with Green Thumb 5.

The best vacuum to kill pests is the InfiniVacuum Hooverius. It should be Recombobulated, Hot Potatoed, Fuming Potatoed, maxed out with 5 Bookworm's Favorite Books, and be reforged to Beady.

There are three main pets that you should use for pest farming:

1. Slug (Legendary) (Bonus Pest Chance) (Brown Bandana)
2. Hedgehog (Legendary) (Oneshot Pests Without Buzzing Reforge) (Green Bandana)
3. Mooshroom Cow (Legendary) (Best For Money) (Green Bandana)

Use these pets with autopet equip rules for ease of use.

You should use the Sprayonator to spray Dung over your plots, because the Beetle pest is the most profitable right now. Also, use the Not Just a Pest Vinyl for bonus Beetle chance. A night saver is essential for activating nighttime buffs on armor, pets, etc.

Needs Work (Suggestions Appreciated)

Magical Power

The next main focus of your profile should be Magical Power. Magical Power is a mechanic that gives you extra stats based on accessories, which are basically pieces of equipment that gives certain stats. Every 10 accessories you have, you receive 1 tuning point, which - when you talk to the Thaumatologist - can be assigned to a specific stat, boosting the chosen by that amount. Just this alone will be a massive boost to what you can and can't do, and is one of the most important aspects of the game.

For this stage of the game, a total of 500 Magical Power should be pretty well-rounded. The best accessories to buy can be found by running the /missing command in any discord server that has the SkyHelper bot integrated.

You may notice that you run out space in your inventory really fast. Fortunately, there is a solution for your accessory needs! By maxing out your Redstone Collection, you gain access to the Preposterous Accessory Bag, giving 57 slots for accessories to be stored in. You can get extra slots by talking to the Redstone Miner, buying them from Jacobus, and completing the free profile upgrades from Elizabeth. Maxing these sources of slots may take some time, but will make sure you have enough space to place every single accessory.

Money Grind

At this point, you should have a decent net worth from grinding one or both of the above skills, as well as a good money making method for pretty much the rest of the game. Don't worry, you can go between these skills as many times as you want, or not do them at all! However, these are extremely profitable and consistent money making methods, and will most likely fund your profile. Now, using this, you should try to build a purse of 350 million coins or greater, which should fund a decent portion of Part 2.
